It's taken a few months but it is all done, and I'm bloody thankful it is done now too.

First thing that went on was the boost and EGT gauges and as soon as they were installed I know my ZD30 was not healthy! I was only making 5psi boost and the EGT's were 500-600 going up the hill to my house. The cause was a leaky intercooler and the engine cover had rubbed holes at the end of most of the fins. I bought a cheapo eBay intercooler special and the problem was sorted. I reckon if I hadn't fitted the gauges I would be looking for a new engine by now!.

I bought the EGR plate to block off from eBay, I threw it in the bin as it was the wrong shape. Hs anyone had this problem? It would have fit but the brass washer that was in there was a completely different shape so I cut my own out of a piece of 1.2mm SS sheet I had lying around.

The snorkel sounds awesome, you can really hear the turbo roar through it!! Next weekend I will be fitting up a fan to the intercooler but for now the EGT's sit around 250-350 most of the time which I think is AOK.

Still needs a bigger exhaust and chip and I will be pretty happy. Thanks for all the good reading on ere to give me the confidence to take on these projects at home.

Max boost is at 18-19 psi on the dawes as per the instructions I was given. It is peaking about 17psi and drops down to about 15psi. goes like a ripper now!

Its always good when stuff goes to plan! As for the IC fan. Your EGT's are low now, don't bother.

As Mudski said and i agree the fan will give you minimum gains, for the out lay.
you may be better off fitting a larger scoop.
Std with a bullbar fitted your OE scoop will be picking up bugger all air flow until about 80 kph
a larger scoop will lower that to 60kph
