Hi,

Does anyone know where I can source a head stud kit for a TB42? I am told ARP is the way to go, but cannot find the TB42 as an engine type on their website...

Thanks!

cant say ive ever been able to find a kit, but might be possible to get the right size/length stud if you talk to one of their distributors, i know the thread is m10x1.5 and from memory the bolts are about 130mm long so you would need 140-150mm studs surely they would have something that would work

Any particular reason you are wanting to use studs?

i though he was meaning head studs instead of regular bolts, common to use studs and nuts insted of bolts in high performance applications

This is what I was getting at. It have to be a decent build if it required head studs though. Nothing internally would be standard possibly the crank but yeah.

thinking more about it now, i have doubt you would be able to fit a head with the engine in place using studs on a tb42. to the op whats your aims for the motor? im running 9-10psi(should be 4 but have major boost creep) on a genuine gasket with no problems
