Can anyone help with details of the location for the boost sensor--I have the rest sorted but not sure if I need to be on the turbo or inlet manifold side of the intercooler.
Any help appreciated.

Inlet side is good, close to the intake so you are reading what the motor is getting. There should not really be lost boost but if there is lost boost through the Intercooler you are measuring post Intercooler.

As above mate, mine is tapped into the elbow directly above the inlet manifold.

Mine is tapped into back of intercooler just before the hose to the manifold. Suggest you secure the hoses for gauge to outlet as mine came off and I lost all boost. It was a bit hard to see that it had come off so took a bit of time checking all the hoses and vacuum hoses as well including the one to the injector pump.

There is a product that bolts under your OE boost sensor to make things easy I'll try and find a link for you.
don't go on that price they normally sell for $40 a piece. but now you know what it looks like you may be able to make one.

Looks good BUT way too costly from ebay. Making it needs tools I don't have but I will look around before I tap the turbo pipe.

Do you have access to a welder? I have 1/8 and 1/4 threaded boss' s that weld in and then you can just screw your desired fitting in.

An exhaust shop may be able to help you.

I do own an electric welder,(don't think that is the best system for this task) and I do have the appropriate taps to cut a thread but the elbow may be too thin to hold the thread. By the time I get a "boss" , have it welded in, then add a fitting, I will be getting up there with $$$-most places want $30 minimum labour for simple gas welding jobs. The billet adapter is $75 on ebay--about double a fair price. I will sleep on it :-))

I looked at the location of the billet adapter, and routing the hose from there is not convenient. I will go with a boss, welded to the inlet pipe. A straight shot to the boost adapter and Dawes setup. Cheers

Why isnt it convenient? Easy to fit and plumb. You would just need to change the single barb fitting to a branch T fitting so both gauge and dawes can attach to it.
