Hi guys, I have a some what urgent message which needs advertising aus wide.
ANZ customers received an sms today requiring actions on an account which is about to be suspended.
This sms is a scam, but looks very real and only needs unaware customers to enter there login details and there in trouble.
No word of it on the anz fb page but a pre recorded message on the phone line stating it's a scam.
Please get it out so people know.

These types of scams go on daily, nothing really new.
I don't understand how people would be so gullible 2 fall for something like that.

I've received multiple sms messages from anz of late due to accounts etc, so this one nearly got me. The sms linked to a login in page identical to the real thing.
If it wasn't for me forgetting the stupid 16 digit number I would have been conned.
As Darren mentioned the real people use names. But it's not the first thing I thought of. I thought ffs.. What's wrong now...

Australians fall victim to millions of dollars in fraud every year, some are get rich schemes and greed is what trips them up!
I agree though, how do they fall victim?

Get this clear.......
"Everything" should be treated as a scam unless you can prove other wise.
Just as when your mate/family etc send you a link to some funny video via email, "NEVER" click directly on the link they send (it may have been sent by, or contain a virus), cut and paste the link into google, and follow it from there, it will take 5 seconds extra, but will take you to the same footage etc, yet will avoid exposing your self to any hidden links or scams.
Same if you get crap emailed from ebay or banks etc, NEVER click on links, go to your ebay log in as normal, or your bank log in as normal, if you have any alerts they will show up, 99% of the time it will be a scam.
Google is your friend
p.s. Ive been offered a share of 500,000 dollars from a Nigerian Australian army colonel named Colin in the united states marine core, all I have to do is email him at......... Colinoscopy@bendova.com, and I should get whats coming to me ?
Sounds Legit !:clownredpuff:
