Sponsors banner

Is it possible to have the sponsors banner closed by default, rather than having to click it close it frequently. It gets irritating as it takes up valuable screenspace. I wouldn’y mind if it was just one click to close each visit, but when it reopens on each change of page I feel like shouting at the screen “I’ve already seen it”!

Have report posted your post so Andy can look into it, I'm not 100% sure how the user group setups work and Andy is the only one that can change it anyway

Hey cuppa I can get rid of it for the forum sponsors but a lot of the members liked it to show who is on here.

I'm happy to creat another category for the sponsors that don't want to see it?

I'm a bit lost as to what you guys are referring too, under the forum banner all I can see is advertising for "Browse 10,000 Single Asian Women's Profiles" with a heap a chick pics, if you can get rid of that, that would be great :thumbup:

You need to be a forum sponsor to lose those ads mate :)

That's odd Cuppa I don't see it at all, PC, laptop or iPad. I only found out it existed about a week ago when it was mentioned and is only visible when I press the Forum button from the Home page, don't see it at all after that.

yep,last week he was looking into it,then I thought he may have forgotten while he was busy stitching rooftop bags..but alas,one is here and one is not.Oh and the spammers they have kept a few busy

Yep I also see that on the forum homepage on me laptop but as I said last week in the other thread, I like having it there to serve as a reminder, instead of trawling through the vendors section....... Yes I'm lazy and proud of it :D

Yeah im pretty sure they are based on your cookies stored on the computer haha. I had those ads showing engagement rings for months because I spent a day looking for places online a few months back.

Nah It's not soft at all, paying sponsors are supposed to see no adds so that's what needs to happen.

It only took a second to create this new group, cuppa I just through you into the new group, did that work?

Any other forum sponsors want this as well, let me know....

Nothing to to with that, that's for sure. I also get Russan Brides ads, Wollworth ads, slim ads, DX & minx ads (wtf that is..). If it's based on cookies, all I should get is LED light bars, roof top tents, suspension and shock absorbers and resistors for line pressure feeds to make the auto change gear harder...:cheers:

I don't think I've ever noticed these ads (mostly coming via the phone now) but I sure do appreciate that you want to do it right. Thanks Andy.

This constantly pops up for me too. I close it and its good. Next time I log in, its back. I started a while back but have never bothered with it...
