my gu 2.8 wont rev up!!

Hi just started my gu 2.8 and pushed the accelerator to full and the revs go up to 600rpm and the engine warning light stays on solid in till I let off the throttle then it idles normally it was fine yesterday. do any of you now what's wrong.:confused:

no idea with the 2.8 but post up an intro just to be polite and all.

Check the intake and make sure it's not blocked. Simple quick check. Being diesel you only need air, fuel and compression. It starts so compression must be decent, and it runs so there's some fuel and some air. You could even take the intake pipe off the engine and run it N/A for a bit. It should run and rev up, would at least tell you if the intake is blocked or not.

Fixed :clapping: i just tried the throttle about 20 times the it reved up.

I found out what the error code the ecm recorded was, (43) which is the ACCEL POS SENSOR.

So just a dodgy sensor.
