Hi there,

Asking for some advise from the experts!!

I own a GU Patrol TB45, 1998 (series I).

I´m thinking to install a new fuse box inside the car (6 or 8 slots), just to run some appliances (Ham Radio, Internal power points, etc...

I would like to wire this fuse box at some point getting power when key is in ACC mode, in order to avoid draining the battery when stopping the car.

Any recommended point??

Cheers and thanks in advance,

It will only drain the battery if something is plugged in and turned on. I have one in the back of my GUIV and its hard wired to the second battery via a fusible link and is in the back of the car. I run a fridge from it which needs power without ignition and also charge my iPhone there while in camp as no key is needed.

I installed one up high on the passenger kick panel. I run it through a relay thats switched by the ignition so there's no chance of draining a battery.
For power to the back, I wired up 2 constantly powered sockets with individual switches.
