Absolutely! It just removes a lot of the restrictions that Apple impose.
There's tons of info out there about it.

Jailbreaking is awesome if you want to tweak your phone. I've had jail broken phones for a while, they are awesome but eventually you, well I did, get over it.

It has cool tweaks and apps, but useless unless you use them. They take up a fair bit of storage too. There used to be a pirate app store so you could get majority of apps for free. It's not around anymore.

Personal preference mate. I like my iPhone. I nearly bought a new s5 not long ago, but waited until the new iPhone came out to compare.

Just for arguments sake, when your android breaks, which ever brand, how long does it take to fix?? And how much storage can you have??

not sure how long it would take to fix as I never had one fail besides running over one with a car...LOL but you can just stick a micro sd into an android device and can have any storage you like not like iphones you have to pay $$$ more for bit more memory:) BTW I'm using an iPhone 5 ATm and it does OK :

Terrible battery life on iPhone. Checking forum, Facebook and other media on the go for me just kills this iPhone.

I could easily be converted purely based on battery life and trying to run websites on the go.

Yep and then having the option of the ultra battery saving mode its awesome. I turned the ultra battery saving mode on the other day at 10% battery life and it got me another full day. And I still had 7%.

I bought a double size battery on ebay. Gives a better run time, on my iPhone 4

Sitting right now with a Samsung S5 with a 128GB sd card plugged in. Fair bit of space. Can't answer your question about the phone breaking as I've never, had one break or stuff up. I do look after all my phones though, and I've had a few, including every single iPhone thus far (except 6 )due to my Gear Acquisition Syndrome, coming from my early IT career.

My early comment about iPhones being outsold by Androids was a bit of a joke from my end, even though it's true. True, because Android has that many different brands of phones running it, including a lot of the dirt cheap ones out there... So no wonder they're selling everywhere like hot cakes. But there is only one iPhone sold by one company, Apple (not counting the counterfeit Chinese copies). This makes it an unfair comparo, as in all honestly iphone wins considering this.

I admire apple and their iOS interface across all their devices, including the iphone, especially it's simplicity. I used to run iMacs for years... It's Apples arrogance and their restrictive approach on everything that's got me away from it. Not to mention their prices, when there is a product with 20x better specs out there for quarter of the cost...

As you've said, personal preference.

Can't go and get training (let's face it, some people need it) and if your phone breaks they will fix it on the spot or swap it out.

My misso dropped her iPhone the other day, screen cracked, took it into apple, they fixed it in 30 mins for free. That is impressive in my books. Not many other companies have that kind of service

My underling at work was an absolute Crapple freak crapple this crapple that blah blah blah, he absolutely loved Apple, a real die hard fan....... I had an HTC Desire S at the time, he played around with it and was pretty much instantly converted, ended up buying a Samsung S4 as soon as it came out, now he laughs in the face of Apple.


But yes as others have stated, it's down to personal preference.................... APPLE SUCKS BIG HAIRY BALLS

I smashed every iphone I owned 6 in total. I think ruggedness is something we have to live without with these smart phones and I'm yet to see if this samsung can hold up.

My sony xperia z1 is water proof. Has the snap dragon quad core processor. 20.7 mega pixel camera. Plus all the other features that us android users take for granted.
