just want to know if anyone has sourced their tyres this way..going through having a look and wondered about fitting as it says fitting and balancing free but it's an online site..when you go through checkout it comes up to enter postcode and other details..Intriged I did this and they can send them to my local tyre joint, what I don't understand is(and I bet it would piss the company off maybe)they are over 100 bucks cheaper than what they quoted me..I wonder if BFG send them there and because they are a dealer it gets sorted between them? BFG A/T 265/75/17 @$344 delivered.the shop told me when I got a quote they are $440
cheers.

Don't forget your local tyre place includes the price of balancing/fitting in their quote. They will probably make sure they charge you every penny to fit/balance as a separate item.
Not that you probably won't still save money. I saved $1000 including freight from melbourne by choosing an alternate tyre brand, and having them arrive at my place and fitted locally.
Also see tirerack.com and also ebay for comparison on tyre prices. The hard bit seems to be estimating postage when buying online. I asked the freight company separately, and made the tyre seller match it.

Hey P4trol,i rang them up today,as I was curious, fitting, balancing done and freight was $30 a tyre to tyrepower in town.also 12mnth roadside assit, although I reckon I could put the spare on before they came to where I needed them)the price I mentioned in my first post was wrong as that was for 16" but it's still only $368 delivered, fitted balanced for 17"

I'm in the market for tyres and found the cheap deals are on tyres that are close to 5 years old.
Check the build date that will tell you heaps, maybe $100 difference
