Can this be done? I am loosely looking around for a TD42T or Ti injector pump. I know I need to get a pump with a boost compensator. I have seen a few non compensated pumps floating around. Can these be fitted up to suit? Or is the entire pump different?

Cheers.

A compensator can be fitted to them but is best done by a pro and will normally be around 500 to do so.

Also most non compensated pumps will have a 10mm plunger so an upgrade would also need to be on the cards.

So it not out of the question then. It's possible to do. As I do see many second hand pumps for sale but without the compensator. I figure if I buy a second hand pump it's going to get a rebuild and upgrade anyways....

Yeah its easily done and is done quite frequently. The upgrade from 10mm to a compensated 11 or 12 mm will be pretty close cost wise so just go straight to the 12.

Is there a way to check a pump is any good while not fitted??

I received 2 pumps.

Thanks Matt. Now I know if I see a pump up for sale I know I can use that and get it upgraded...
