Fixing up my MK patrol and trying to get the right tyre and rim combination. As what's power without traction.
It currently has the 16' stock nissan rims on it, but have 4x 15' sunraysers as well. have plans to run 33s on whatever rim size I end up getting
I will get better value for money with 15s, but 16s are becoming more popular. What size rims is everyone running?

I've got 16s on my GQ and the reason is to have more space around my brakes. It's easier to blast the mud off after a session than with 15s which I found very close to the callipers :)

Wow thanks for all the replies, it seems 15s are the most popular choice. Is this for tyre price? Or just that is what people run

15' will give you taller sidewalls so in theory more spongey,
Plus the $$$ factor of 15" tyres being cheaper

Most GQ's came with 15 inch rims. I guess we've all stuck with that in general.....they are cheaper too which is a bonus.....

If your buying new rims get 16s if you have 33 in rubber the side wall is the same height as a 15/31 combo giving better stability and the 16s fit over the big brakes, ( love the big brakes)
