Hey,
New here (obviously):1087:
I've just purchased a 2000 GU. Its a TB45 Manual.
I was owned by an old fella before I bought it an he's kept it very tidy except for a trailer hitch dint in the bottom corner of the right side rear door.
Now I know all you die hard Patrol nerds are asking why on earth I went for 4.5 petrol instead of the TD4.2 or the 3.0 litre. Well the vehicle is primarily used as a work vehicle to get up rough driveways that my old VY SV8 One Tonner couldn't handle and the odd camping/shooting trip. I didn't buy it to flog around the bush and sink in window depth puddles so the petrol suits me just fine. Plus I don't have to worry about a catastrophic meltdown like the 3 litre has a tendency to do.
Anyway so far I've only played around with a few internal electrical mods to make life easier. I've mounted and wired in a fuse box to the passenger side kick panel for accessories (soon to be hooked over to a dual battery)
I've put 2 flush mount accessory sockets inside the centre console and run a wire from the battery to another 2 switched but constant sockets in the rear for a fridge etc.
Later I plan to fit a dual battery, a winch cradle and mount a 12000lb winch for just incase.
Other than that, roof racks and an awning.
