Have a question
the Gu 3.0l patrol i recently bought has a noise under the bonnet
it sounds like an electrical high pitched whistle
only does it while moving not stationary
dealer has promised to fix but would like to know what it is anyone have any ideas
it sounds like on drivers side starts just after 2000revs and drops of around 2200 revs

Get them too check the EGR pipes, the bolts are known too come loose or blow out the gasket and the pressurized air after the turbo can escape through and cause the sound your describing

That was my thought too. Warped egr pipe flange.

Also check the intercooler for oil stains, sometimes they split.
