Ive decided to go straight gas turbo in my shorty mav. My engine has seen better days but luckily for me I managed to pick up a newer tb42e engine with less kms and better condition. I have removed the injecters and will be blanking the holes. Im in the process atm of giving it a little freshen up before I drop it in. Im replacing front and real main seals. Sump seal, tappet cover seal and the welch plugs. Also will be replacing the water pump.
I have a few questions for this conversion if anyone could help out.
1. Will the imcpo 225, work as straight gas turbo on this engine?
2. There seems to be a coolant line that passes through the throttle body, is this reli nesasarry can I blank it off or not?
3. How far away from the throttle body does the gas mixer need to be, is there a max distance?
4. What heat rating spark plugs and gapping will I need?
