G'day,

My Patrol is a 1998 cab chassis with a TD42 with a Garret turbo fitted and dual batteries in the engine bay. Two batteries in the tray run the fridge. There is an ARB bar at the front and side steps, long range tank, water tanks, tow bar and UHF. For easy driving in steep terrain and to save having to do winch recoveries (unless the driver really stuffs up) low range crawler gears have been fitted into the transfer case. I run Maxxis Bighorn tyres front and rear and carry two spares, with a twin cylinder 12VDC air compressor for the tyres and air bags in the rear.

The Patrol came with a reconditioned engine and SFSG is running fine. But I’m still getting used to the idea of 10L of oil and 2 oil filters every 5000km.

SFSG. Its only running 8psi boost, but I'll probably tweek that a bit. Even so, it gave the 4.2 a good kick in the pants - specially up hills.
