I took off my standard tow bar today to fit a hitch style bar I was just wondering what the 3 front middle bolts bolt up to there is holes for them but no way to put a nut on them

Unfortunately they aren't captive in the chassis rail. From my experience it looks as though they weld bits of wire to the nuts at the factory and screw them in that way.

this is correct,.have had mine off recently and they have nut welded onto wire inside the chassis rails.
