in need of a set of new tyres,at the moment I am running 17"alloys and the tyres are dunlops 697's but down here they are 595 a tyre...seriously considering going 16"...what should I be looking for in tyre size if going to a 16" rim.

another question, does anyone have an idea if the fuel usage with a rooftop tent is worth carrying if I am only going to use it for maybe 1 or 2 nights on a 5000km round trip..?

The tyre place in bunno has 20 percent off BFG all terrains.

My dad put 4 265/70/17 on his navara for less than $1400 hope this may help.

Also I wouldn't bother with the roof top for a couple of days usage. Tent it instead. IMO

Yech I wouldn't bother with the roof topper for 2 nights outs of 2 weeks travel. Buy a cheap dome tent. It's somewhere to keep you dry and that's it. Rooftop tent is really only worth it if your using it every night.

I would go to a 285/75r 16 (33x11.5) or 305/70r16 (33x12.5)

When I was getting prices for km2's. Don cornells had 285/70/17 for $360ea delivered to brisbane. Huntsman products also do good deals.
