Cruise control I think it is mate. I put a GUIV leather wheel on my GUII and the clock spring was different. By memory it was for cruise control. Download the manual mate, it's in there I'm sure of it.

Now these wires you are looking at. Are they on the steering wheel itself, the clock spring or in the harness too the clock spring?

From the clock spring into steering wheel found out there should be light green/ black trace. No wires that colour any where so I'm thinking there is different wire configurations with clock springs

Have you changed steering wheels? As I put a GUIV leather wheel in my GUII and had to modify the GUIV clock spring to suit the GUII wiring harness. Looking at the wiring diagram now, just trying to make sense of it...Plus you have no wheel controls? I.e stereo or cruise?
From what I can understand on the diagram. There is two options, first is with the wheel controls. Which I assume you don't have. The other options is without the wheel controls. There is two leads from the clock spring, one has two wires on it, this is for the air bag. The other lead has only one wire in the plug, this is for the horn.
Unless I'm blind but I can't find where the colour codes are...
