mate has a diesel ute with manual radio aerial, that has about 5 attachment points up the driver's side A pillar. He has bent it on his mango tree.

Nissan genuine is $57. Are there cheaper ones that are just as good?

Try Nizzbits or Ebay, but $57 for genuine Nissan is very reasonable.

A motorised one for a GU is $480.00 !!!! If I were you I would get the $57 one as soon as possible before Nissan realises they are charging a reasonable fee and do something to correct the matter !!!

Well you could use a coat hanger. As a matter of fact a guy at our local Sunday marker charges $1.00 to bend a coat hanger into a map of OZ. !!!! :D:D:D Does a good job too !!!:smiley_thumbs_up::smiley_thumbs_up:

He got the nissan one. Easy to fit - no need to disturb internal wiring.

I have seen the motorised one, and masts, but again only for the motorised ones on ebay - neighbour reckons he is too old for computers and leaves it to others ;-)

I'm pretty sure you can get the mast bit from Bursons or Super Cheap. The plastic bits that connect it to the body just slide off and the base of it unscrews. My old Patrol had a broken mast and I found a replacement at Super Cheap, but as I didn't want to keep replacing them and the reception was poor I just fitted a stainless whip arieal and base to the bullbar.

$480?!? Is there a "shield my posterior from attempted forced intrusion" emoticon here?

I am scared to ask what Mr. Nissan wants for a GQ, but if it is almost 500 bucks I'll look for a cheaper alternative thank you.
