Hi guys, I have found my oil dipstick broken off about 100 mm from the top. The piece is still stuck in the tube. My question being is it easy to remove the dipstick tube to pull out piece? Any help appreciated.

Not sure, but you can get similar to these from sca. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Lighted-Flex-Claw-Tool-MAY-45046-BRAND-NEW-/121141732571?_trksid=p2054897.l5670

I'd give that a try

Maybe a small telescopic magnetic pick up tool if it fits
Super Cheap would sell as well

Aren't they aluminium?

The tubes are normally just pushed in with an o-ring that holds them in. If you undo any bolts that are holding the tube it should just come out with a good yank.

Most are steel.

Never seen an aluminium dip stick that's not to say they don't make them, just never seen one
