What is this? Did Nissan have a factory alarm system?

Bit of mission creep here. But my original issue was that the indicators and the gauges stopped working. Everything else appears to be working and I've checked out the fuses with a meter and they are fine. There's a little bit of corrosion on the fuse contacts and I'm about to delve deeper into the wires behind the fuses.

After taking the panel off I could see this. It has security on the box and appears to be connected into the loom like it's factory.

IIRC, the car had, what I thought was an after-market alarm on it when I bought it but I got no documentation or anything with it so I removed it - or I thought I did.

Is this standard or is it just well installed?

Not sure if any of the GQ's came with a factory fitted alarm sytem, looks aftermarket 2 me.

Any model numbers written on the box?

Well, I've answered my own question. No definitely not factory and it incorporates the central locking which I disabled some time ago because I didn't like the installation. The name on the box was Moss and the box was just jammed in there and that bundle of wires in the panel hole is all the extra wiring bundled up, cable tied and stuffed in there.
I've taken it all out.
