So I was out in my GU yesterday and left an intersection went from first to 2nd gear and lost 5th cylinder. now I was hoping it was only a blocked injector but pulled them out this morning and had them tested. Now for the best part the motor has only done 26,000ks since it was rebuilt along with new turbo and rebuilt injector pump I have since done a compression test on that cylinder and 0 PSI reading while the others are round 420 PSI Now I know the motor is over 12 months since rebuild and 1000ks over the warranty ks but I'm hoping the company that rebuilt it will come to the party and help me out I have only owned it for 2 months and cant see how an engine can only do 26,000 from a rebuild and need to be done again unless it wasn't done right in the first place just chasing opinions on my situation and if any one else has had a similar problem

12 mth warranty does not mean jack now with the new laws, i would suggest they will fix it as you have a life expectancy now not a time only so 26k and 14 mths means nothing, if they dont come good go to consumer affairs.

That's what I was thinking if they don't want to take responsibility for it I will call fair trading 26,000 from rebuild they have to do something about it I have rung the previous owner and they are going to send me all of the receipts for servicing since the rebuild was done I have emailed the engine reconditioners all of the receipts I had and they said they will touch base with me tomorrow sometime. I'm just glad we still have 2 cars at the moment as we have has 1 for sale and that cost me a $227 parking fine yesterday too so I had a really good day
