Enjoying the recent pleasant Melb weather. Genny going after losing power so camping at home it seems......
Thought I'd post an intro at least. Have std GU 2010 with 4.8l and beginning to think about mods for just touring. No rock crawling or travelling along the sides of steep hills, you see the missus gets a bit vocal and panicky about these things and it gets a bit hard to concentrate!
A wealth of info on hear, looks like a front elocker , 2" lift and, tyes and that'll do it. Cheers and look forward to exploring the forum some more.

Thanks again for the warm welcome.
Been looking at what to do with the suspension for general touring and am wading thru quite a bit of info already available. Will ask some questions once the muddy water becomes slightly clearer and I know where I'm headed. Wife has a FJ cruiser, nice soft ride but no feedback feel through the steering wheel and heaps of understeer! She's happy so I guess job done then. The Patrol tows the camper really well and pulls up fine, the FJ isn't as capable and it shows so need to do some mods to get the Patrol ready for some outback adventures I reckon. Enough stuffing around and working......
Thanks again, probably ask a few noob Q's about suspension in the appropriate section in the near future.
