Central Locking

Hi all,

Have a problem with my remote key,
Will unlock the patrol but wont lock it.
both keys do the same thing, is it fair to
say the central locking module is rooted and if
so, does anybody have an indication of what
it would cost to replace?

Pity its not under warranty. The cheapest option is to ditch the OEM module and put in an aftermarket one with its one remotes. Can be had for under $100 for the kit. It would be interesting to see how much a new OEM module is.
You don't know anyone with the same or similar model Patrol you could try to swap module over?

I doubt the module is faulty.

When you push the lock button on the remote do the hazard lights flash?. If they flash, do any of the doors lock? or is it just the drivers door that doesn't lock?

If the hazard lights don't flash, does the interior light switch off when all the doors are closed? Do you have an aftermarket alarm fitted?

Have you replaced the batteries in the remote?

No unlock function at all on the key remote(spare as well) will unlock with hazard lights flashing but
wont unlock. Bit of a strange one really.
No after market alarm or immobiliser installed.
