yesterday going to work the tb42e start kicking, backfiring and losing power. when I barely got to work I let it sit for 10 minutes then started revved it all fine. through all of this when I had pulled over it idled fined just a bit high. so coming home early this morning it started to do it again not as bad though after I gave it a bit. I don't think its bad fuel even though I had put some in from a independent the night before on my way home. lastest things I had done is change the o2 and water temp sensors. ill admit im lost on this. no engine lights.kev

sounds like when my fuel pump failed. might be worth having the fuel pressure checked

I only went for that as I had just replaced it it was a weird one. car operated perfectly till it hit full operating temp then kicked and spluttered like crazy. switched it off for 10 mins and it went perfect then at full operating happened again. so non genuine is out.kev

That sensor seems to cause a lot of dramas. Can i ask what resistance you were getting from your non genuine unit when cold?

That is the frustrating thing with the efi is it relies on so many sensors.
My did the same as what you described but it was the injector. .
