Hi all, I've converted my rb30 to TD42 and It doesn't have any power. I left the original rb30 fuel pump in the tank as a lift pump and am wondering if it doesn't flow enough to keep up with the diesel. New injectors, new cooling system, 2 1/2 mandrel bent system. No revs above 2400 ish. New filters and no little filter under the banjo still no go. I drove a factory standard TD42 today and it would destroy mine performance wise
Any ideas

G'day Dawso,
welcome to the site. Suggest though a bit more info re yourself and wheels and where in the universe you are would be good.
Can't help as I can't even begin to imagine the effort in such a conversion. Would like to hear a bit about what was involved.
I'd have to guess though that if the donk is now a standard TD42 you'd need the FULL system and that would include the works from fuel in to exhaust out. The lot. No carryovers. No mods without lots of research.
Don't know much about turbos (even though I've now got a 3.0CR TD) but if that's standard for the TD42, shouldn't be a problem I'd think.
As I say, don't know but I'd be looking for anything that's modded or in any way non standard for the motor,
Luck,
Col
