Fuel calibration at the pump

Just talking to a guy calibrating the fuel pumps at my local servo.
Seems at any one pump he will take three 15ltr samples to get an average.
Seems Diesel is a lot more accurate and doesn't need re calibrating
as much as the diesel is a great lubricate

You would think there is an industry standard for pump calibration!
