Why have you asked about the BCDD? Are you having problems with the engine?
I've read that a BCDD is meant to allow the precise air flow on deceleration of a carby engine, thus reducing harmful emissions.
Just make sure all your hoses to the carby are connected, in the right place and in good condition.

For anyone that is interested The BCDD is dealt with in EF and EC 19 section of the Electronic Manual.

Wondering where this 'electronic manual' that you speak of is...? I had my carb rebuilt but I think the vac lines aren't connected right and it's running like a dog!

Get yourself a Gregorys Manual from SuperCheap mate. Easy to understand and nothing better than having it all in one book.
