My second mod done what cha reckon????

G'day folks. Have been busy savin up some dough for my next mod. First off was the winch bar for my highmount now this what do you think. I have been doin some testing to see if I can improve airflow. I also ended up with this box of shiat to help things along.

scoop is the wrong way round
it pushes air onto intercooler

Looks like you've tested it with a reversed scoop.
Any comments of your findings.

Yeah no harm done it will let the heat out but you need it facing forward so air is forced onto your inter cooler

The reason for testing the scoop is I no longer have an air to air intercooler but have gone for this.

Oh allright ya got got me . Thought I would start this arse about face but throw in the "been savin up some dough" bit to see what replies I would get. Told ya a while ago in previous posts Iam a cunning little crunt sometimes ha ha . All good a bit of variety spices up things sometimes.

After much toin an frowin decided to go down the path of water to air. It was a toss up between ARE and Mehl Brothers Performance both up in Brisvagas. At the time of lookin ARE were having some issues with their core supplier and at that time were not sellin their set up so off I went to Mehl Bros and they got the nod.

They supplied and fitted the w/a intercooler, inlet manifold ,oil cooler, piping kit from air cleaner to turbo and tune. The tune included time on dyno,valves and injector service. Of couse the complete EGR system was removed. Now I can get at the oil filters a lot easier. This was the main reason I went for this set up just kiddin ha ha .

So as per original post I am in the process of sussin out the original scoop to see if I can get better airflow ala A9X Torana and Chevy camaro.

could put a few washers on the bonnet hinges to lift the back of the bonneta few mill this will help lots

mate sounds like an awsome setup, just wonderin how its going. any issues pop up since the install. How was it dealing with Mehl Bros. Was the pricing ok. not sure who to go with between On and off Road Brendale and Mehl Bros Northside for my bog stock 4.2 which i love but recon it needs a little hurry along.
