wont turn over after shooting up to 3000revs and died

I have a 2000 gu but has a 2004 3.0l motor. Whilst driving she shot up to 3000 revs and just died,
now it just clicks when u try to start her (just put a brand new battery in it after it died too). Please Help, thanks all.
