hi all
any ideas re-diff lock light followed by the audible warning chime coming on whilst towing caravan? have NOT switched on ---just suddenly appeared & then the warning....book says not to travel over 20ks/ hr for obvious reasons ie locked diffs......however dont reckon the lock is on,just the warning...so called nissan as is under warranty---truck arrives and takes car and van to nearest town,no charge, but up to me to talk local dealer into inspecting vehicle,of course too busy, anyway they will look at it wed am,so will wait till then---later i go out and start car and light is no longer on continuous but flickers for a while then comes on and stays on,BUT can drive as fast as you like NO audible alarm !! any body got an idea what is going on ? putting vehicle into and out of 4x drive, makes no difference, and using the diff lock switch does nothing...vehicle is 2012 3lt turbo diesel gu patrol,40,000 ks,have also re -set computer as per nissan,s instructions, any help appreciated.
thanks willie-----------------------------------hello again- a bit of an update for any one interested, nissan to check computer tomorrow am,but drove this morning and no sign of warning light or alarm,so to test a theory i used 4h for a bit,and also 4l as well, but did not touch diff lock, all went ok till a short time later after switching back to normal the diff lock light appears again, but still no alarm over 20k/hr--strange happenings!! will report results--cheers willie

Hey Willie, Thanks for the feedback mate. Good to know if it happens to anyone else.

Thanks mate, just wondering because I bent my solonoid/actuator on the diff first decent outing in mine but it's going great so it will be interesting to find out where the hose come off on yours.

Cheers
