Awesome stuff bud. I will need to get around and see and hear this beast now its all done. The transformation on this car since meeting BA a few years ago is phenomenal. Not just the engine but everything. Bruce really looks the goods now since the dress up. And now he's got a stronger heart too.
All good things come to those who wait... Sometimes the wait is just a bit longer than expected...

There is more to do but will not have time this year to paint the bonnet so just got it so I could get air to the intercooler.

Looking good fella, worth the ballache now?

To be honest I would not do it again... Getting too old for this and think I would buy a near new 4wd or a very well set up older one rather than go through this again.

I love my car now ( despite all my winging) and get excited to look at it.

I have built many motorbikes (owned about 40) and many of them in my lounge room and enjoy it but 4wd's are a bit harder on the body and the wallet.

The next 2 weekends will be my first trip 4wding and this will be the test... bring it on!!

Looking again at the pics above, the black bar and black rims, looks the goods I reckon. I normally wouldn't go white letters out, but that even looks good.

Hoping I'll be there on the weekend to see it in action.

I am not bothered with white letters in or out but thats how I got them... $500 for nearly 100% tread and with rims, Bargain !!!!!!

Got most of the aux tank back in the other day and today will try and finish that off plus Repco have that sale on and I want to get a boost gauge that is 50% off.

Well instead of getting stuck in I am getting drunk.... my son is playing Skylanders and is happy and I do not want to upset him by going outside and leaving him alone again...

We have it stripped down to pistons with the head sitting on the bench...

I really dont know what to say to Mags... I dont want to ruin her holiday as she is taking time off without pay and she was stressed about money but I told her to go and celebrate her Nans 100th birthday and let our daughter have an awesome time.

I think I am going to become a lying cheating stealing low life c%$t as they seem to be the ones who get by... ha ha ha ha ha ha... no dont worry Parksy has already told me off for such a thought.

One beer left then stagger up to KFC as I cant be stuffed cooking.

Gather your thoughts and get back on top of a few things and maybe get stuck into it then. I know easier said than done though. It might give you a chance to find a good buy. If you need anything man shout out. Even if you want to borrow the troll for a bit man.

It's Johnno's call, but why not find out at least? George has probably got a bit of an idea of what's realistic to do or needed.

I know the forum has been down a dark path with getting stuck in to help someone before, but I think this could turn out different. So many people know BA and just from the forum I can tell it would turn out different. I'd be surprised if there weren't people willing to help chip in something? Some bits or some cash? I know it's a tight time of year for most people, but lots of little bits add up. Even if a few can give something it offset things a little?

It's one thing to have me tagging along not in a Nissan, but imagine if this is game over for Nissan's for BA? C'mon he's part of this place?

Not trying to put pressure on anyone and maybe I'm not being realistic, but worth a thought? There's nothing else practical I could do other than chip in a little bit.

Yeah, well said. I'm happy to help with baisic labor and or financial and im sure many others are too. I know things have turned sour before and you don't want to set a prcedent but think this is pretty blody well justified. I've been enjoying my motor trouble free for years, its really s#!t jonos had to go through all of this, should be enjoying it by now. (Jono & family). It would be a big shame to throw in the towel at this stage.

Not only that guys but our friend Johnny needs emotional support too, we can only imagine how much stress this is putting on his entire family.
If anything is gonna get him through this it will be knowing how many friends he has willing to give him a hand up.

I have just pméd BA with three different kit prices, also with hi volume pump, turbo squirters etc etc. I can get these kits in a day or two. Might just need someone to do the picking up of the parts if BA wants to go this way or not. Time to help out is really restricted for me right now. I know people are wary of doing this kind of thing again as Cameron has stated but he's a mate and I will do as much as I can to help out. I want throw in a couple of hunge on parts just to help out.
BA needs this like a hole in the head. He's gone too far with this already. To see him yesterday morning all happy and chirpy, then to see his face as the truck stop wasn't a good thing.
Its time we stepped in and help out.

In this situation can you usually tell why it actually had the issue? I'm keen one way or the other to contribute to BA getting on the road again, but don't want him to feel he has to take a certain path. Wouldn't want to see this fixed if there is a reason it might do it again? But also if you know why it happened then fixing this engine properly might be best?

Maybe that's a stupid post. Too hard to know yet. But I want to push forward with how we can help?
