Hi all,

It appears the big grommet on drivers side firewall is leaking.

I have attempted to seal using a tube of MS1 with no luck (Slowed the leak but still coming through)

Anyone else had a similar problem?

Starting to think its going down between the skins.

Regards.

Had the same issue on mine. Seems the water was just running down a wire, had to go with foam filler on both my front large grommets. Works great but will be a problem if I ever want to run any more wires through it. I learned the hard way with silicone and spent a few hours cleaning it all out again.

Well I attempted to clean out the MS1 last night - Gave up after 4 hours.

The grommet slightly drips after heavy rain fall / garden hose but its not explaining why both sides are wet.

Passenger side Grommet is fine, It's certainly water and its not using any coolant which rules out the A/C core, Couldn't see the AC drain pipe to check that.

Pull both front carpets out, get a torch and get someone else to spray water along the windscreen grille. Alternatively your windscreen may be leaking.

U can try soapy water, it heps to find it quicker with a torch if need be, also if ya can have motor runnin and use an air blower, water everywhere but it works a treat, youl find it..

Wiper cowel screws are a very common cause of front floor water on GUs

I've had two screens put in in past few months (latest screen was put in 2 weeks ago as I thought it was the screen leaking) and confident its not the screen.

Soapy water - Tried that with no success.

Wiper cowel screws - One thing I havn't looked at - Thanks.

I certainly know the grommet on the drivers side was adding to the leak - I gave up trying to remove the MS1 so I added some more from both sides, Hasn't dripped today with a garden hose directly on it.

Looking at the amount of water on both sides its pouring in somewhere.

Thanks.

Its offically doing my head in.

I can see on the drivers side that its coming in the grommet (Just trying to get the windscreen sealant out of it because that didn't work)

Passenger side had been dry up until yesterday. Slight drips actually running down the firewall under the sound proofing/insulation but no idea where from?

My patrol has developed a major leak through the passenger side large grommet, I have tried silicone but can't each all around from inside and can't fit the gun under their ABS module to do it from the outside. Anyone have an ideas? Can you remove the ABS module?
