Hi Guys!

I have a 1990 GQ 4.2 Wgn
Steering wheel is totally cactus. Lost all adhesion to the steering wheel frame.
I am told by many that this is VERY common.

Can i change it to a later model, non airbag Patrol Steering Wheel?
GU maybe???
Do i need a boss kit?
Would it be the same spline??

Any guidance would be really appreciated!

Thanks

would it really matter if GU had airbag ,just remove it as its only a horn pad.
taking that splines are compatible. Be wary of woodgrain ones the are made
from bamboo and the top tends to fade with prolonged exposure to the sun.
Not that bamboo is a bad material.

If it is still all together you can get it fixed or get the diy kit

I put an N14 Pulsar Q on mine today, 370mm diameter compared to 400 of the GQ one, a bit fatter as well, it does sit a bit further away from the blinker/wipers than the std one , $20 from pickapart,

if the outer is still in good nick and has only come away from the inner rim, you could always drill a couple of small holes through the rear of the wheel and force some glue in through the holes
