Has anyone bought one of these single DIN units? My GPS has horrible glare issues and the SD card holder has broken.
I'm looking to replace.

As TD mentioned mate a lot of people buy Eonon. I have had a few units from them and it is hit and miss. As for a single din unit I had one of these.

This is how it looked in my GU.

I had to use stand off washers as the screen wouldn't come out, due to the the way the GU fascia is designed. The screen stopped worked 4 days after install.

A fellow local 4.2'er has one of these double DIN units in his rig,

screen tilts so one might fashion a hood for it. The DigOptions unit I have is from Melbourne, worked well for a couple years but now the iPod connection is hit or miss and then not being able to have a 32GB SD card as backup is getting old, especially if we are going on a 4-5 week road trip.

I fitted a double DIN chinese unit over 5 years ago and it hasn't missed a beat. I thought the single DIN screen mechanics would just have too much work to do over time.
As you mentioned GPS, I no longer use mine for that function. Could be because of my age (68) but I now find it's too much concentration to switch from looking straight ahead down to the centre unit, focus on what's there then back to the road again. Can't get TomTom on my Windows CE unit anyway.
I now just use my iPhone sitting at the top of the steering wheel in line of sight.

My iPod/iPhone connection was also hit or miss with my iPhone 3GS. It worked best if I connected it before starting the car. Most times I just streamed the music via Bluetooth.
When I changed to an iPhone 4 it worked perfectly. Nothing to do with the IOS version, I'm running 5.1 with a jailbreak.

I've always had great success with Pioneer, home theater AV is Pioneer based, had a lot of Pioneer radios in cars, etc.
What maps are available for your unit?
Thanks

I just downloaded the AVHX7550BT manual and scanned it, only talks about NAV in one section, Screen Adjustment.. But the advert talks about GPS.
Might just go back to the two device philosophy, entertainment and then navi on separate devices.
