Is it necessary to use a tinner oil in the high country in the snow?

If you look in your owners manual, it should tell you what Nissan recommend, with regard to what range viscosity oil to run in what temperature climates, to suit your individual engine.

For short trips I wouldn't bother. Thousands of vehicles go to the snow every year without concern.

Whats the best cold weather oil, either 20 or 30 weight. ???

owners manual suggests 20w-50, which is what I use is good for temps above -10c. below that they suggest 15w or 10w. I think I am safe just to keep what I have in there for a week in the high country.

i hgad problems with my oilpressure and in the end i used a Oilcooler and 15 % GL-5 Oil for hipoydaxels and now the oilpressure is just fine

i forgot to say i am from switzerland and here we have tremperatures from -15to 35 degrees
