GQ Airbox upgrade

Hey patrol ppl,

So I have been searching for a budget airbox upgrade for my patrol, ideally wanted to find a zd30 box but they seem to be in short supply. Have found a gu 4.2 GU box for $100 with a K&N filter.

Should I bother?

Hi Gavin,

I assume that you have a GQ TD42? The gu air of is slightly bigger and has the outlet through the lid. It will allow better air flow than the pre filter box of the GQ but the lid is a restriction. In saying that though the K&N is worth $100 so go for it. You can mod the lid.
