Gearbox/transfer case fit ups

Hi all. As some may know from previous posts my mate has a 99 gu td42 ute, and the transfer chain is stuffed.
Another mate is wrecking his tb42 gq. Will the transfer case and/or the gearbox from the tb bolt up to the td?

Gu transfer is slightly different and GQ gearbox is different (selector, ratios etc).

Would it be possible to mate the gq transfer to the gu box with a few modifications, or is it too much stuffing around?

Yes that could be possible. It will bolt straight it no worries it will just be the selector you might have to manipulate.
