Hi All,
Sold my Pathfinder and looks like this weekend I'll be the proud owner of a Patrol. Been looking on/off for over 6 months and every time I wasn't ready GU6's were going for a great price (was trying to avoid earlier models due to the grenade), and now that I was ready they were just above my budget (counting on what extras I would still need to do with it). Oh well gave me plenty of time to read the forums and bug 1 of the members here (don't actually know his username) with questions :)
So was just about to go for a Pajero (wifey liked it & ok compromise as my daily driver) but saved by a GUII that came on the market with a new motor, Only has 6,000kms on it (installed by Nissan) and full NADS applied straight after the motor went in (Original ZD30 went bang at 148K KMs), so hoping with care it'll last a long time. Had just about every feature on my checklist (only thing missing is winch, well does have an uninstalled Tigerz11 Grande available & lockers). Body and interior wise was in better shape than most GU6's I saw. It was from a deceased estate where unfortunately those great plans, with basically a fully rebuilt GUII Patrol, never got to occur.
I live midway between Brisbane and Gold Coast so scenic rim, SE Qld/Northern NSW area here I come with a bigger toy this time :)
Once I've got her, I'll get some photos up.
2001 GUII Patrol ST
New ZD30 Motor 6,000KMs ago
ARB Steel B'Bar - winch compatible
2" lift
Full NADS
Snorkel
Chipped & mandrel bent exhaust
Dual battery - redarc
Strongarm swing-away rear bar
Torque converter lock-up
Roof Centre console with 80ch GME UHF & remote
Some serious duty reverse camera on extendable pole with the LED work light and 7" screen
5 Shiny new tyres (Yoko Geolanders - will probably change once I need to)
... and probably more that I can't think of right now.
Most of the above is also new.
Still to go:
Winch - thinking Runva, maybe tigerz11 dominator
Front lockers- unknown as yet. TJM do have their sale on now with free compressor.
and of course upgrade the stereo :)
Cheers
Jeff.
