Going into work this arvo over the west gate bridge I noticed this makeshift mud flap flapping away so it took a closer look and it was only held on by 2 zip ties, couldn't believe my eyes!! So I passed my phone to my passenger to take a few pics. If you look closely you can see just above the axle. Needles to say it actually came off.

The thing is I think that is how they made it as it was a brand new truck it had dealer plates on

Thats what they do to commute them to where they get fitted with accessories like mud flaps and such, not the first one i've seen

Yeh that is understandable but if that crate looking mud flap was to end up going through the windscreen of someone's car it could end up a pretty bad situation, you would think they would secure it a bit better. Even if they tied it down.

its just a make shift set up similar to what ppl use for boats .
Its sole purpose is to get the cab from one place to another
You see them on cab chassis before they go to the coach builders[bus]
cheap and legal
