Hi Guys, Names Peter. I own, or rather did own until just recently a 1989 GQ manual Diesel leaf ute. Juts sold it for 2K as i am moving to Victoria in 10 days and it wasnt worth taking with me.

I have been scouring gumtree and carsales for a SWB TD42 Patrol and i have learned one thing: Diesel Patrols are as rare as F***ing diamonds in Victoria. They seem to have a weird love or obsession with the Dual fuel TB42s as they are everywhere. The other thing i learned is that 4x4 owners in WA get it easy when compared to the guys in vic. I had a friend who got pulled over for having too many forward facing lights on her patrol. WTF!?!

Has anyone experimented with putting a turbo kit on a Dual Fuel TB42 engine?

Welcome to the forum Peter. Good luck with your search! My mate got pulled up for having too many lights on front of his Landy and that was in WA. He did have 3 Bull Lamps on the front though...
