o2 sensors is there a difference

Is there a difference in quality and performance and are they a generic readings or does it differ for different cars..

I am just wondering as my original one was stuffed after running gas and I bought an ebay special and it sorted the fluctuating idle but wonder is it less accurate than a more expensive one?

I paid about $35 I think landed and it seemed ok but just wonder if it is inferior???
