I just bought a new sender today for my pre 95 td42 for the aux tank and was looking at prices.
The price difference between the pre 95 to post is amazingly different. Almost double/triple the price.
Being that after 95 they have the low fuel warning light so have a small sensor at the bottom of the sender of course.
Exact same other components so if your sender is faulty and you can confirm using your multimeter set on ohms to see the resistance change whilst moving the float and that is at fault then why not buy the pre 95 sender at at least half the price.
Remove the sliding reader on the sender (terminology fail) by melting the solder and a screw and replace in your existing sender.
Obviously you have to be sure that is the problem of course.
Happy to be corrected though gents?
I believe the efi is similar as well?
