Does anyone know which wires are the interior lighting wires and where they are located in GU6?
I want to wire in some extra footwell lighting to come on when the interior lights come on.

I’ve got red led lights under the dash and driver/ passenger seats to light up the foot wells but I’ve just got mine on a fuse block that’s switched on with accessories. you could try attacking the dimmer with a multimeter but if your using led’s they more than likely won’t dim with the rest of the dash.

Not sure of the colour and can't be rrsed looking it up but if it was me I'd splice into the drivers door switch for (earth) and the wire that goes up the drivers B pillar (12 volts) to the interior light.
Should be the same in the 6 as the earlier models i reckon.

I wired up a light on the barn door and ran that straight to the rear interior light but that's constant power unless run through a switch. I thought if I ran my footwell lights to that then the light would be on continuously unless I added a switch and that's not what I want.

Would it be under the kick step panel as you get in on the drivers side , you could test the wires that run along there,
and easy to get to. Plus the door switch is just there as well

Yep, been there and there are a gazillion wires and the door switch seems to be hidden inside a hard to get to cavity, unless I'm in the wrong hole . . . .
