Hey Folks,

Just wondering what sort of setups everyone has of drinking water storage in their GU?
We're looking at setting something up for trips, as it's easier than buying bottled etc.

Any pics/info much appreciated :)

I buy 10Lt cardboard casks of water from the supermarket specifically for drinking water. Easy to pack, always fresh and you can use the bladders as a pillow or to fill the space in your fridge as you empty it.

A mate has a 110 ltr bladder that lays across the footwell of the back seat and his kids walk on it .. Low center of gravity. And a good price IMO. If you didn't want to have all your eggs in one basket get 2x 40ltrs.

Yeah I'm funny about drinking water, I have bottled water at home, I have 20lt bottle delivered and have a refrigerated dispenser like in an office. We Only drink water at home. I don't like the tap water where I live. When I did my last trip I carried 3x20lt jerries of water for cooking Nd cleaning but 3x 10pt casks for drinking.

A few of the guys have just bought a 60lt flexi tank like in that link for the simmo trip and I am thinking about grabbing one too. I will still take casks to drink though.

I have a fleximake bladder that sits behind the front seats, they are made of food grade material so do not taint the water at all.

That's a work of art !

As Troy mentioned, also a great spot having all the weight central and low.

Does it have baffles inside to stop the water sloshing around heaps ?

Nice tank there Roofy got to be happy with that. very impressive
Is that the mob that will make custom size tanks at a great price?
Looks like you can pressurize it as well with a few PSI

Tanks are also available to fit inside the 1/4 panels and forgot who makes them [ARB] but
you can buy a water tank that will strap to your cargo barrier on top of your drawer system.

A litre of water weighs 1kg so it would hold 60kg of water.
