Just wondering if anyone else has had to replace the boot on the front drive shaft between the crank shaft and the front diff.

As the patrol has not previous been used a lot in 4wd, the boot has perished due to rust on one side of the shaft, sending grease flying under the patrol when in 4wd. (This is hard to explain but hope someone knows what I mean)

I went to repco in Alice Springs and they had no idea what I was talking about. Does anyone know the best place to get a new boot from? Hoping not Nissan as I'm sure they will charge a lot for it.

Have you got a pic of your problem? Click on the "parts" button at the top of this page and Patrolapart will probably be able to help you mate.
