I posted a post earlier but I think I started it in the wrong spot,

well here it goes!
my troll recently started going on limp mode and blowing white smoke.
I put the computer on it to read the fault it gave 0707 which is diesel pump timing.
few days ago the car stated splattering as im reving it under no load.
is there a way I can test my self to see if the injector/s failed or the distribution block behind the diesel pump is playing up
btw its a 2002 gu3 and its done 265000 km. motor was rebuild by previous owner 3 yrs ago. but I don't know if he changed the injectors or got the pump reco.
