What boost should I be running

I have a GU8 manual and have installed 3" exhaust, Chip, Dawes, Hi Flow intercooler, K&N air filter, catch can.
Started running the boost at 14psi & the EGT would run high, have now got it at 17psi (sometimes it will spike to 20psi for a second them drop back) and the EGTs are more manageable, what else can I do to lower the EGTs as this is holding back a lot of extra power.

Im currently towing a pop top camper around QLD and the patrol is eating the hills, but its a pain in the ass having to drop back the gears just to keep the EGTs under 600 half way up the hill when its pulling it easy.
Currently getting 14 to 15ltr/100k sitting on 105ks in 5th.

Any help would be great

Get it tuned.
You could simply running to rich at the lower psi.

Imo 20psi is up the top end for a stock engine.

I thought 20psi too high for a 3ltr.

20 psi is normal for the common rails they run higher pressure that's why their limp mode threshold is higher than the Dis .
I still wouldn't have it there though my one peaks at 16-17 and she runs like a dream. Any higher and turbo will be spinning for no reason and any lower she becomes sluggish.

Block your EGR valve. This will lower your egt's also...
