Hi there,
I own a 2003 gu 4.2tdi wagon patrol, looking at buying a new 3inch system for the old girl seems its 10 years old and full of rust!!
Been looking at the beau desert or the red back.
i have been quoted $1300 for a complete turbo back beau desert system which has a 3inch resonator and a straight through pipe(if it doesn't whistle loud enough haha)
Does anyone have any other thoughts on different brands etc? Also will it be too loud with a straight pipe on it??
Thanks and would love too hear some feed back!!

yep a six sided socket only and hopefully when one or more of the studs break that it leaves enough thread to put a new nut on

Start spraying your dump pipe nuts with wd40. The constant heating and cooling until you remove it will help the wd40 quite a bit and hopefully make life easier come removal.

Shop around though mate. I have found that beaudesert actually supply quite a few resellers and some are cheaper than them.

Gday, MYR1G, i put a 3inch Beaudesert on my 2004 4.2 last year, can't really fault it at all & it sounds good.
I will try & dig out the paperwork and let you know how much it was,

Cheers
Tonks.

Try using Reducteur H-72 super releasing agent on anything rusty, it's a spray can similar to DWF etc but better for rusted parts, they use it in the mining industry over here in WA it's around $30 a can but well worth it.
