We painted our old standard alloy bar recently.
Saving up for a steel bar but wanted to make the Patrol look a bit nicer in the meantime.
Was quoted $200ish for sandblasting/powder coating which we decided wasn't worth it since we'll be upgrading at some point anyway. Plus we would have had to take the bar off for them.
Total cost of painting: approx 60 bucks - and it looks sooo much better!
Before:
44267
Sanded the bar down by hand, took about an hour between 2 of us - big difference before (right) /after (left)
44268
Primer:
44269
Satin black finish, started lightly:
44270
Done! :D
44273
We used 1 can of Dy-Mark Etch Primer and nearly 3 cans of White Knight Epoxy Enamel in Satin Black.

44277
44278
:D
